OUR PHILANTHROPY
Alpha Sigma Kappa - Women in Technical Studies proudly supports both our national philanthropy; DonorsChoose.org and our local philanthropy; The Quarter Project of Northern Colorado. Both of these organizations promote and offer a sense of strength to young women in STEM. We are thankful for the opportunity that we have been given to stand with them and will ensure that the relationships we have continue to blossom like a rose.
NATIONAL PHILANTHROPY
LOCAL PHILANTHROPY
The Quarter Project of Northern Colorado is a non-profit organization that is based out of the Integrative Mechanical company located in Fort Collins. They consistently work to provide scholarships, camps, classes, hands-on experiences and other resources for kids of all ages, specifically girls, that are interested in STEM as a whole and possibly pursuing related careers in the future. In addition to providing local support, trips are often made over to Loveland and other locations on the Front Range for further outreach purposes. Many of these kids come from low-income situations, and this organization offers them a sense of equal opportunity that empowers them to be able accomplish goals. Girls are also able to find their voice and gain skills that will help lead them to success in fields that are heavily male-dominated thanks to the dedication and commitment of this organization. We are very fortunate to have been able to help out with several of the classes and camps ourselves and cherish being able to act as mentors for these kids weekly.
The Theta Chapter of Alpha Sigma Kappa is honored to announce our partnership with this organization.
